eCase Status
is a tool the Commission created to provide constituents with electronic access to workers’ compensation cases. Public information for cases on appeal is available to site visitors, and parties to a claim may register to access confidential case status information. eCase allows attorneys and insurance adjusters handling claims to obtain the most up-to-date SCWCC case status information. If you handle workers' compensation claims we encourage you to register for eCase and use it regularly. Please click on the link below to use our web product.

  • Clarification of Requirements for Filing a Form 14B (Physician's Statement)
    In response to an inquiry from the medical services providers, the Commission has clarified the requirements for filing a Form 14B. To view the clarification click here.
  • Lump Sum Payments Commuted Values
    At the regular business meeting on January 17, the Commission approved a revised 5% Commuted Value or Net Present Value Table as authorized by SC Statute 42-9-301 and Regulation 67-1605. The new table was approved in order to correct errors in the calculations in the previous table. To link to the new 5% Commuted Value Table, click

  • Mediation Reguation 67-1801
    At the regular business meeting on January 17, the Commission received the recommendation from the Mediation Advisory Committee proposing a new regulation to give Commissioners authority to order mediations, create a list of cases for which mediation before any hearing would be beneficial to all parties and deal with procedural issues to include, but not be limited to, requesting mediations, selecting mediators, and costs. The Commission unanimously approved to proceed with publication of the Notice of Drafting of the proposed regulation in the February 24, 2012 issue of the State Register. Click

  • Proposed Regulation Change 67-706 - Oral Argument
    At the regular business meetingo n January 17, the Commission approved a schedule for the proposed amendment to Regulation 67-706. The amendment requires parties to arrive at the Appellate Panel Hearing 30 minutes prior to the schedule time for the hearing to begin. The Notice of Drafting was published in the State Register on December 23, 2011. The Commission will consider the proposed language to submit to the State Register for publication and Notice of Public Hearing at the February 21 Business Meeting
  • Court Interpreters
    At the regular business meeting on January 17 the Commissioners reviewed and discussed proposed guidelines for the use of court interpreters in workers' compensation cases. The discussion included professional qualifications of interpreters, a draft affidavit for the interpreter to complete and questions for the Commissioner to ask the interpreter for the record. The Commission asked staff to conduct additional research and report at a future meeting.
